Highway Builder - An American Success Story
The first four lanes of traffic crossed the new Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge – formerly the Tappan Zee Bridge – on August 25, 2017. The 3.1-mile-long, $3.98-billion steel crossing, which was finished in 2018, was the largest active bridge project in the nation at the time of its construction and a testament to the work and capabilities of America’s steel fabricators and constructors.
