Important Safety Information

 

Please review these important safety guidelines:

High Steel Structures LLC holds the safety of all colleagues and visitors as a number one priority. Please follow the guidelines listed below:

  • No smoking or Vaping.  High Steel’s Facilities are tobacco-free.

  • Dress Code for Shop Tour:
    • Clothing: Long pants and socks are required. No sleeveless shirts.
    • Footwear: Hard-soled shoes or boots. (No sneakers, high-heels, or sandals.)
  • PPE
    • You are encouraged to bring your own PPE. Hard Hats, Safety Glasses, and Ear Plugs are required. PPE will be provided if you don’t have your own.
  • Tour Safety
    • Protect your eyes! Do not stare at weld or plasma arcs or flash.
    • Stay with your group in the designated walkways. Do not enter individual work areas unless authorized.
    • When a crane's horns sounds, stop, look and determine the crane path. Clear yourself of the crane path by moving to designated walkways along the walls. Never position yourself under or near a suspended load.
    • Use personnel doors when entering or leaving the fabrication buildings.
    • In the unlikely event of an evacuation, proceed in an orderly fashion to the visitor parking area.
    • Immediately notify your tour guide or another company representative in the unlikely event of injury. Ask for a First Aid evaluation.
